Found Objects

Untitled

Made from found objects from within the classroom., clay or wood like remanent and floral wire.

At the time I was just twisting the scrap piece floral wire around. I started with wrapping the remanent on the unknown cylinder object. Then I used a paint brush to spiral the end. When the brush was removed I looked down and was reminded of a common everyday household object.  Color does not play an important role in this piece. I would totally make this in a 8 - 10 foot scale because a human could technically stand in the spiral and see it wrapped around said person, which that sounds mentally painful.

Twisted and bent copper wire bound in floral wire.

The result of putting to use a previous "failed" project. What started as leftover copper mini-hangers turned into the pyramid shaped triangular structure. 3 roughly 30cm copper wire pieces bent at the 1/3 and 2/3 marks and twisted at the top where the wires met for 5 cm. The twisted end was then arched.
